About This Dog for Adoption

Fernando's ideal home

Meet Fernando! This handsome boy is a 5 year old Boxer and he is eagerly awaiting to start his new life in his forever home. As you can see from his gorgeous photographs, Fernando is a big boy, and due to his bouncy nature he would be best suited to an adult only home, or a home with older secondary school children that are used to living with bigger dogs. Fernando is friendly with other dogs, but his play style isn't most dogs' cup of tea. Therefore, he will need to be the only dog in his new home, with possibly some dog walking friends that he can play with for shorter periods. Fernando will be the perfect companion to someone who has experience and a love for big. silly dogs as he loves to goof around and be himself! His adopter will need to work with him on some manners, but overall he is a very happy boy and a pleasure to have around. They will also need to be able to be at home with him when he first arrives, and until leaving time can be gradually built up.

Could you be Fernando's perfect match?

Fernando has plenty of energy for walkies and playtime, but if his adopters want to take him in the car for further afield adventures they will need to work with him on car travel. He is a huge fan of his food, so this will be a fantastic motivator for some training! If you think Fernando could be the dog for you, please complete an adoption application and include him as a 'Favourite' dog. Thank you!

Boxer Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Boxer.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Boxer Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
