About This Dog for Adoption

Bella's ideal home

Bella is a gorgeous, friendly girl who is looking for an understanding home with adopters who are willing to help with her confidence building whilst out and about, so she feels less overwhelmed! Bella is great with other dogs and could live with another dog, pending successful mixes here at the centre. She could also live with children aged 12+ who are confident around large bouncy breeds. Bella would suit a home where her adopters can build up leaving hours over time as she can be worried when left. Bella is currently in a foster home and is doing really well having built a relationship with her foster carers very quickly! Despite Bella's size, she definitely thinks she is a lap dog and loves nothing more than cuddling up on your lap!

Could you be Bella's perfect match?

Bella is a 1.5-year-old Boxer Crossbreed who sadly hasn't had the best start to her life. Bella came into our care very underweight with sore eyes so she has been given lots of TLC in order to get her ready for rehoming. She arrived with cherry eye in both eyes, which has now been corrected, and she is recovering well. Bella loves people and seeks a lot of reassurance from her handlers when she is overwhelmed. She also enjoys playing with toys, particularly if they have a squeaker!

Boxer Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Boxer.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Boxer Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
